There is only one possible outcome under these circumstances.
ROAM TIME!!
We all moved down to amamake, laedy providing a rifter for lala, and met in the one of the stations. With us there were a few of azi and laedy's friends, IEATCRAYONS from the python cartel and Mickey Simon from when saints go machine. Also arriving later was Chinalla, a friend of zamone. As we arrived, laedy and azi were just finishing off killing a pair of Tristans, (1 & 2), while making sure not to shoot a blue brutix.
Heading out into the system we proceeded to make a few safespots and give the newer players a quick introduction to low-sec mechanics including GCCs and aggro. Then we spread out to explore and look for fights. Moving around the belts we had a few close misses, a thrasher that was just out of point range and a stiletto which blasted off at 4km a second to avoid us.
The thrasher pilot had an interesting reaction to our fleet.

My comment led to a funny but inaccurate discussion by mail. Admittedly I was correct. 4 out of 8 of us were female after all.

Just after this we moved into siseide and began to repeat the process. Crayons found a vagabond at a belt and began to find a way to get close enough for a point. The vaga was too fast for his wolf and he couldn't quite get close enough. We warped the rest of the fleet to him so those of us with a long point could have a go. The vaga flew away at top speed and Mickey gave chase. Soon both the vaga and Mickey's enyo were well over 200km away. Commenting over TS Mickey was sure the vaga would cap out soon. Mickey got a web on him, but his enyos lack of mids meant he couldn't stop him from warping and he proceeded to do so.
We all warped to Mickey and prepared to leave, showing lala how the directional scanner worked. She quickly managed to find her own fleet orbiting less than 10km away. We gave her a cookie. Just as she finished I noticed the overview move and began to shout about the vaga having come back and landing right on top of us. He must have book marked this spot just before he left.
Locked, pointed, and opened fire. Unfortunately even scrambled and webbed he was still faster than my plated punisher and managed to stay right on the edge of my range. He began to drop fast as the rest of the fleet opened fire, shields quickly vanishing. Just as I began to feel triumphant he locked, shot and killed me. Unable to close range I was sitting at his optimal. Dead punisher.
Spamming warp I got my pod out as fast as possible. Literal seconds later victory cries came over comms. If only I could have lasted slightly longer. Ah well, Revenge is sweet. (If you look at the time on the kills we died in the same minute.) As compensation Laedy contracted me a new fit and rigged punisher and allowed me to have the loot. (Thanks Laedy!)
Putting gf in local I warped back to amamake to wait out the GCC and to pick up the new ship. Lala and Zamone were delighted to have gotten their first kills. And what a kill it was for an 11 day old trial account, so lala was particularly happy. I waited to see the km then posted it in ninja alliance channel (where they were busy talking the usual rubbish lol) and got the best reaction possible from Ejidun:

After waiting out the GCC we moved back into siseide and continued our roam. Our eventual aim was evati and it would have been fun to meet some bastards but we got sidetracked. I had been promoted to scout (I don't actually recall volunteering) and was moving a jump ahead of the rest. In ezsur I came across a drake on scan and quickly attempted to narrow it down. Crayons came in to help and found the drake on one of the stations.
Crayons warped in and the rest of us had instructions to wait till he had aggro from the drake. He bit and we all descended on the station. I arrived first and pointed him before opening fire. Then everyone else also came in and the drake began to go down surprisingly fast. My previous encounter with a drake had been a 10 minute encounter only ending with the intervention of a battleship. Anyway, the drake pilot quickly realised he was outmatched and de-aggroed before docking at around half shield.
Then a second drake undocked. We all swarmed towards him hoping he would attack. He did and we engaged in return. The first drake also undocked and we decided that both at the same time was too much for our frigates. We warped out apart from Chinalla who lost his kestrel.
It was now beginning to get late for my Aussie friends and we decided to leave evati and look for one last fight in amamake. This time I did volunteer to scout and we had an uneventful 5 jumps back, apart from a brief moment of almost engaging a flashy thrasher on a gate until his friend arrived in a pilgrim. This decided me and I held cloak.
We arrived back in amamake and began to lose fleet members quickly. Zamone and Chinalla logged to go to bed, then Crayons and Mickey left as well. Azi then also left to get some sleep. Then promising Laedy we would do this again sometime, Lala and I also logged.
A great roam, with only one kill but lots of fun had by all. I am very pleased with the night/days work.
On a final note I had a look at the TEARS killboard and was stunned to discover this:
Easily the highest I have ever been on a kb.
EDIT: Laedy has blogged her version here. She continued to roam after the rest of us logged.
Fly Safe :)
